Flooring Installation
There are (4) different installation methods that depend on the type of flooring you choose and the type of subfloor you have.
Laminate or Vinyl These floors come with a click system that connects together, it’s called “floating floors”
Solid hardwood & engineered floors These types of floors can be installed either by glueing or nailing it down.
If subfloors are concrete, we use moisture barrier glue. This step will prevent the floors from buckling up or getting warped.
If the subfloor is plywood, we nail the floor down to the plywood subfloor. For best results, we also use moisture barrier glue.
-
Baseboard & Transitions
Baseboards: After the flooring has been installed, we will install the baseboard panels. Baseboard is usually made of MDF board and covers the lowest part of an interior wall. Its purpose is to cover the joint between the wall surface and the floor. MDF baseboards are becoming increasingly popular due to their affordability and ease of installation. It is much lighter than wood but still strong enough to hold up against daily wear and tear.
Transitions Installation: These are molding pieces to cover the gaps between rooms or two different types of flooring. This step will complete the installation process and give your flooring the finished look.
